Ambigram – Ebet

This is another request from my officemate Modee.  She already request one for her name and asked me to make another one for her fiancee, Ebet.

The ambigram got several revisions.  I would get a good design and later be critized by being hard to read.  The letters would be read differently and the word Ebet doesn’t come out naturally.  Good thing they also provided some workarounds to improve the design and make it mroe readable.

All letters were tricky.  They seem to be easy at first but I had several flaws that needed several modifications.  I have done a similar E-T inversion before.  At first I used a very ornamented font.  The extra lines and curves added some confusion to the design so I have to remove them and came up with a simple font.

The b-e inversion was actually came from the letter g.  I modified it by chopping the outer part to form the b and e.  That’s why, it was mistaken to be a g several times.  I had to chop some more lines in order to make it readable this time.

In the end, Modee was satisfied.

I also combined their names into one picture.  She will be using it in her wedding announcement website.
